Voters are really tired of Congress’ corruption and downright lunacy, with polling agencies ranking the overall approval of Congress at around 9% or so. But one polling agency decided to see if there was anything people liked less than Congress, and here are the results.
Here’s 5 things people like less than Congress, one of the most hated entities in the United States:
1. Meth Labs
One way to demonstrate the obliterated trust when it comes to the relationship between people and government, 60% of voters said they preferred Congress over meth labs. An astounding 21% said they actually prefer meth labs over Congress.
2. North Korea
North Korea outdoes Congress when it comes to authoritarian dictatorship and Orwellian anti-liberty regulations, granting the nation even more hatred than Congress itself. The Public Policy Polling agency reports that 61% of voters stated that they preferred Congress over the North Korea dictatorship.
3. The Kardashians
The symbol of brainwashed media drivel, the Kardashian family has a lower approval rating than Congress, with 49% of Americans siding with corrupt politicians over the multi-million dollar family that pushes celebrity idolization to a whole new level.
Not as bad as North Korea, meth labs, or the Kardashians, 45% of Americans report that they dislike telemarketers more than Congress.
5. Lindsay Lohan
Similar to the Kardashians but coupled with the glorification of drug use and alcoholism, 45% of Americans said they disliked Lindsay Lohan so much that they had to side with Congress over the former child actress.
This article is meant to throw a bit of humor into the mix of serious news stories, but the bottom line is that people are already upset at their government for failing to address the desires of the people and siding with corrupt corporate interests — so now it’s time to do something about it! Just as with the NSA spying, the passage of the NDAA, and even the Patriot Act, all of the ‘disapproval’ in the world won’t do anything without action. We need to turn activism into legislation, vote out the corrupt Congress, and spread information far and wide. Oftentimes, humor is one way to do so — share this article and get the word out, it’s time to stop waiting around and instead force legitimate change.
